La nuova legislatura europea 2019-2024 e l’agenda della better regulation: le prime mosse

Abstract - Better regulation is a long-standing policy in the European Union. After recalling the past Legislature’s Better Regulation Agenda and achievements, the article explores the first steps made in the opening of the new 2019-2024 Legislature both by the Commission and the Council. An unexpected decision, announced by the President of the Commission, to implement the so-called ‘one in, one out’ tool, stimulated a debate in the Council in view of the adoption of Conclusions on better regulation last February, with Author’s remarks in the last paragraph.
